Utah Foster Care's Chalk Art Festival

Celebrating 13 years at The Gateway

Celebrate the age-old tradition of street painting at Utah Foster Care's Chalk Art Festival at The Gateway on June 19-20th (Friday-Saturday). UFC’s 13th Annual Chalk Art Festival benefits the 2,700 Utah children in foster care and the dedicated families who nurture them. Nearly 140 local artists take part every year, with competition in both youth and adult categories. For 13 years, Utah Foster Care has been presenting this community art event to focus attention on how you can help change the lives of children in foster care here in Utah. Utah Foster Care (UFC) is proud to announce the featured artist for this year’s Chalk Art Festival on June 19th-20th at The Gateway. World-renowned artist Julie Kirk Purcell brings her brand of dynamic street painting to the annual event in downtown Salt Lake City. Purcell has made her mark in 3D art in festivals across the globe and last year, spearheaded a team creating the Guinness World Record for largest 3-D Pavement Art. Foster Dad of the Year: 12 pm Saturday @ Main Stage Artist Awards: 6 pm Saturday @ Main Stage Murals will remain in place all day Sunday, June 21st, for Father's Day viewing.
