Chiropractic Care is a Family Affair

If you’re tired of living with constant back pain or migraines caused by car accidents or injuries, or just life itself, it’s time to start your journey back to health with Herriman’s first chiropractor Dr. Wade Thompson.

Dr. Thompson and his wife Cherie opened Thompson Family Chiropractic at 5734 W. 13400 South, #200, 18 years ago in Herriman, because they liked the small-town feel of the community. Now, the city has grown but Dr. Thompson’s office still treats everyone like family.

“We’re very personal with our patients,” he says. “It’s in the name of our business. It’s a family and we’re very blessed.”

Patients who visit Thompson Family Chiropractic are heavily involved in making decisions about their own healing process. Under Dr. Thompson’s guidance, they are treated with care and educated about back health. Dr. Thompson says when the spine is brought into alignment, and the nervous system is working correctly, bodies work more optimally.

It’s not only adults that benefit from chiropractic treatments, Dr. Thompson offers care for teens, children and infants. Many parents bring their newborns to the clinic to ensure the spine is aligned after going through the birthing process. According to Cherie, ailments like ear infections, gastrointestinal issues and poor sleeping habits can often be alleviated with a gentle alignment. Pregnant women benefit greatly from chiropractic care, without the use of medications, to alleviate their aches and pains.

“In our neighborhood, the moms call Wade the baby whisperer,” Cherie says.

The Thompsons are invested in the Herriman community. They raised their children in the city and actively serve through their church community. Dr. Thompson also had a seat on the Herriman Planning Commission for several years.

Thompson Family Chiropractic is a sponsor of the Herriman High School rugby team, which won the national championship in 2021. As the team chiropractor, Dr. Thompson helps athletes recover quickly from sprains, strains and even concussions.

“People with concussions have neck injuries, also,” he says. “We work on shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles. It really helps athletes improve performance.”

He also supports all of the high schools in the southwest valley, as well as the Herriman Arts Council from its inception.

Dr. Thompson’s goal is to provide quality spinal care and his high referral rate proves he’s met that target. Patients come from all over the Salt Lake Valley, and even from other states, to be treated at Thompson Family Chiropractic.

The Thompsons consider every employee at the clinic to be part of their family. Whether it’s Maxine, who handles the billing, Amanda or Leona at the front desk, or the talented massage therapists, Cindy, Tiffany, and Caroline, who help relax tense muscles, each person brings their own talents to the practice.

“At Thompson Family Chiropractic, we are in the miracle business. Inside our office we have a Miracle Bell. Every time a patient sees a miracle of healing they get to ring our bell. It is our goal to help each person reach their optimal health.”
