Walk around the base area at Brighton Resort and enjoy the funky snow sculptures that will last for a few days. The sculptures are the annual Rites of Spring competition.
To get the competition started, the snow groomers create giant piles of snow in the base area. Then the employees from each department and the crew from each of the lifts have a day in which to create a sculpture.
Here, the Snowsport School staff is working on a Snow Snake that has steps up one side of its hump and a slide down the other side. When completed, it will be enjoyed by little children in the Snowsport School programs.
