Solitude continues to evolve since Deer Valley bought the resort and took over its management on May 1. Stay tuned. There will be more changes.

Tim Wolfgram has been named Solitude's new director of snow sports services. Wolfgram is a long-standing ski industry veteran.

Wolfgram spent numerous years as a manager for the Deer Valley Ski School and is currently working as the assistant general manager at The Deer Valley Club. Prior to his position with The Deer Valley Club, Wolfgram ran the snow sports division at Loon Mountain, New Hampshire. There, he directed snow sports instruction, the children's center, the rental shop and the Loon Mountain Summer Adventure Center.

“His passion for the sport of skiing and his extensive management track record will be instrumental in enhancing the snow sports experience for guests at our newest resort,”  said Bob Wheaton, president and general manager for Deer Valley Resort.

Additional resort experience has taken Wolfgram and his professional photographer wife, Sherri, to Idaho, where he was instrumental in the start-up of a new four season resort called Tamarack. At Tamarack, Wolfgram was the director of recreational services. He also worked as a manager for the Crested Butte Snow Sports School and was the assistant snow sports director for Turoa Mountain Resort in New Zealand. Wolfgram is also an emeritus examiner and clinic leader for the P.S.I.A Intermountain Division. When not skiing, Wolfgram enjoys mountain biking and other outdoor activities.
