Judy Calhoun, a local artist who has painted the mountains for years, exhibits her recent paintings of Little Cottonwood Canyon and Alta in an exhibit that kicks off Friday with a grand opening and reception.

Her exhibit includes 33 paintings in oils, pastels and watercolors. She paints every day. Sometimes she skis to a good viewpoint and paints while on her skis.
Last summer she painted amidst Alta's blazing wildflowers.

Additional pieces will be on display the night of my opening reception.

The pubic, including skiers, snowboarders, snowshoers and all mountain enthusiasts, are invited to attend her opening reception of the Holladay Fine Art Show scheduled for Friday, Feb. 5 from 5-8 p.m. at:
Smart Bodies ( an athletic facility)
        2350 Phylden Drive
        Holladay, Utah
(turn east off of Holladay Blvd. at the Zions Bank, then right at the second driveway)

The exhibit is scheduled to be open through March.
