A suspect robbed a bank allegedly without a weapon. Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying and finding him.

According to information from the Cottonwood Heights Police Department, the suspect entered a U.S. Bank at 1998 E. Murray Holladay Rd at 1:10 p.m.

The suspect wore a hood into the bank, but employees may not have been suspicious because it was raining extremely heavily outside, Lt. Lex Bell said.

The suspect approached a teller and demanded money. The clerk complied and gave him an undisclosed amount of cash before the suspect fled on foot. Officers immediately started searching the area for the suspect, but did not locate him. No one was injured during the robbery, according to a press release.

The suspect was described as a Caucasian male in his mid-30s who stands about 5-feet 8-inches tall and has a medium build. During the robbery, he wore a gray hoodie, black beard and blonde wig. One witness described the suspect as looking “homeless” because of his baggy clothing and unkempt appearance.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact the Unified Police Department at 385-468-9814.
