The first of eight homes is demolished to make way for the new Cottonwood Heights Municipal Center on the corner of 2300 East and Bengal Blvd. The city purchased the properties earlier this year from homeowners with proceeds from a $14.5 million bond. The remainder of the funds will be used in the planning and construction of a city hall and police department on the property.
